~From Mad Men to GunSlinger~"Sweetwater"~

The Times...they are a Changing! Now you may remember "Betty Draper"(January Jones) as the beautifully dressed ex-wife of Don Draper on the popular series "Mad Men"_

Introducing, Sarah Ramirez (January Jones) as a "Gunslinger/Gunfighter" a word usually reserved for men in the American Old West movies that had gained a reputation as being dangerous with a gun!! Now, here's a movie you gotta see because she is "DANGEROUS" with a Gun & a Rifle!!!

 Normally, I stay away from Movies/TV shows with a lot of violence ...heck,I can see that on the 5 o'clock News. When you really think about it_ most Baby Boomers grew up on violent cartoons, Westerns,etc. We all laughed when these things happened on cartoons...looking back...it was the beginning of violence gone bad as it stands today!

             Modern day..."The Simpson's"!

That being said...I was curious about January Jones acting skills beyond "Mad Men". She did not disappoint!!!!

This was a "Sub-Genre "Western (Revenge) movie in which the plot involves an elaborate "chase and pursuit" with elements of a classic mystery & thriller story. Guess what?? It was NOT_a male cowboy gunslinger wearing a Stetson Hat, spurs or a bandanna....oh Guns & Rifles were involved_BUT..it was a Gunslinging "WOMAN SHERO"with a pretty parasol to match her dress!!Most of us Baby Boomers grew up watching Westerns, on TV. BUT_ the Heroes were all Males.Most women like Dale Evans and Dorothy Page were "singing cowgirls". Otherwise it was_The Rebel, Gunsmoke, Riflemen, Have Gun Will Travel, Wagon Train, Riflemen, etc. "A Man's World".This is a great link to learn about the History of Westerns dating back to the 1900s...

Plot: In the late 1800's, a beautiful former prostitute (January Jones: "Mad Men") is trying to build an honest life with her husband in the rugged plains of New Mexico. When she catches the eye of a sadistic and powerful religious leader (Jason Isaacs: Harry Potter series), her life is violently turned upside down. She embarks on a bloody course of vengeance with the assistance of a renegade sheriff (Ed Harris: Pollock, The Hours, A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13) who has pretty violent tendencies of his own.

The film was directed by Logan Miller and co-written with Andrew McKenzie and Noah Miller. The Miller brothers did good. These two characters_you'll either Hate or Love_

~BLURRED LINES~VISIONS OF LIFE~2014~

She's Back!!! Not Miley, Y'all  < ME>.Had a much needed rest...just kinda hung out with my thoughts on stuff. That being said..."Let's get it Going"...first things first...so glad not to hop on the Internet to find several thousands sites paying homage to Miley's Blurred Lines in 2014...oh yeah, the song Robin Thicke made famous....YES, his song...not Miley's Song!I have to say...I like the beat_good dance music.BUT,the lyrics..well,um..don't know,no comment,true-that,WTH?,etc...

Just so you know, Blurred Lines  is not a new concept!Listen to this hit from 1977 by the Main Man...Marvin "Sexy" Gaye...not as racy now compared to Thicke_But almost same beat!

Or, just the cover of the Ohio Players (1975)_Album(yes, people they were called Albums NOT CDs).

Miley can't TOUCH THAT!

On a much deeper level, I started to think of the "Blurred Lines" in most of our daily lives. For example:

~Social Media vs Life_24/7 we are "On Call", use to be for Doctors only _now Everyone!_ via FB,Twitter,Cellphones,computers,etc..Bosses can pay you for 8 hours_but_can send an email at 11pm with requests for the next morning....& You are suppose to be aware of that request pronto_ or the constant checking of emails, while on an outings_say to Dinner with friends_there's no conversation....everyone is twittering or texting in the moment! How about just a normal conversation about what going on in your lives?

~Relationships of all kinds v Life_There are many kinds ...let me focus on men & women just to keep it short. Now, Ladies have the right to wear whatever they fancy, including Latex undies & top+ A Finger Toy_ as a Gazillion people watch on TV!!!YET, Ladies don't want the Guys WOLF-Calling or as they say "Getting all up on them".Meantime, a Good-Looking Guy dressed or half dressed as today's style dictates...Likes the Ladies Oh's & Aha's....They like it! Tell me is this a form of Twerking on Kmart's Boxer Day Ad?...which by the way ACTUALLY became a word added to "THE DICTIONARY"(smh)_Here goes the Holiday Spirit...the last jingle is a ????

Okay, so that's a mouth full of jibberry-jab! Bottomline, it is YOUR right to believe in one of the most ridiculous Superstitions to date. I challenged you to a ~SPELLING BEE~ on
either form of the word mentioned above! And, Your reasons to perpetuate this Myth!

Now, there's not a lot of Fridays that fall on the 13th....but when they do_here's the Rules...

That being the case, we are guilty of perpetuating a misnomer by labeling Friday the 13th "the unluckiest day of all," NOT!

Day 3...Ice,Ice baby! It is no secret to those that know me_that Fall & Winter are my favorite times of the year! I love Fall Foliage &
Winter days filled with the Sun shining bright, crispy coldness in the air, S-N-O-W on the ground knee-deep, the cookstove fired up & a pot of "anything" on the stove,wine in my glass,..& the list goes on...BUT...ICE,SLEET & FREEZING FOG(WTHeck!)..didn't know FOG could freeze???_Day 3..aaaah,it's time for a WARM-UP....words you'd Never, Ever hear me say in a million years!!! I have seen this each morning for the past 3 days_

Weather folks say we will NOT be unfrozen,
thawed out, clear for take-offs, etc... until Wednesday!!! WT??? It looks like an Ice Capades Show watching "some folks" car-
skate on this rural country road in front of our
Farm_amazing the slow motion or the IDIOTS that try to go faster,faster in what is already a 30 mile speed zone...oh & this morning the City sent out an automated voice message that due to inclement weather "NO CHRISTMAS PARADE"today...guess the ICE GRINCHES are stealing Christmas this year....I had to cancel but re-schedule my Scandinavian Christmas Party for today because my friends"TEXAS IS CLOSED" & has entered~
